There is more information to come so stay tuned!
Put the September 21, 2019 Salmon, Steelhead and Trout Celebration & Auction on your calendar – 4 to 7pm. Things are still coming together for this fundraiser but, you will be able to enjoy some wine on the Streamwalk Plaza in the sunshine we scheduled, hear some nice jazz by the Tim Koss Trio and have a bite to eat. Well worth the $30 admission.
This year, we are adding in a live and silent auction to help raise funds for badly needed Visitor Building repairs (some roof damage and replace a failed heating unit) as well as support for Streamkeeper Academy.
Our small Board of Directors has secured some out of town getaways, (Crystal Mountain Hotels stay, an Uncruise Adventure down the Columbia River, a drift boating trip down the Yakima River, a scenic flight with Regal Air, overnight cabin stay near Port Townsend, sporting event tickets (Seattle Reign, Storm, Sounders, Mariners), beautiful artwork and handmade jewelry, meals (Ajax and Portage Bay Café’s), scuba diving training + life necessities like gift certificates for auto care, Town & Country Markets, and dried firewood.
Tim Koss Trio Bio: “Since the seventies, Pacific Northwest bassist and composer Tim Koss has performed and recorded with a variety of jazz, rock, and classical groups.
His original recordings have been used in film, television, radio, commercials, and internet programs, such as: A Dog’s Purpose, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, Master of None, The Kathy Griffin Show, Tosh.0, John Oliver, The Rob and Big Show, and Desperate Housewives.
Tim’s music is featured on 3 CD’s – Home Run, Daddyo’s Double Play, and Sliding Into Third, and on several compilations YouTube, Amazon, and iTunes. His composition style reflects years of performance in jazz and other genres. The result is a unique blend of the familiar and new.”
Tim will be performing at the fundraiser with longtime Northwest jazz artists Dave Peterson on guitar and Mark Jelsing on drums.
