Sammamish River Volunteer Planting Event at Wildcliffe Shores!

Join the Adopt A Stream Foundation on November 23rd, 2019 to restore habitat along the Sammamish River in Kenmore, WA Volunteers will learn about restoration, salmon habitat, and plant native trees and shrubs!

When: November 23rd, 2019 10am-1pm
Who: Adopt A Stream Foundation
What: Planting trees to help salmon habitat along the Sammamish River
Why? To create shade in the Sammamish River, which will lower temperature and increase dissolved oxygen. Planting trees will also create habitat for salmon and other wildlife, filter rain water from the surrounding development, help neutralize pH and decrease fecal coliform and overall make the river more habitable for its fish population.
