The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation |
The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation is completing its new home and headquarters, the Northwest Stream Center, an environmental education and interpretive facility located between Everett and Seattle, Washington. Visitors to the Center learn how to become stewards of their watersheds through the educational programs offered at the Center. Displays will provide a greater understanding of stream and wetland ecology and the need to protect these precious resources. With your support and that of other individuals, businesses, and governments, the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation will continue expanding its network of Streamkeepers. And together, Streamkeepers will ensure the return of salmon and trout to their native streams and the health and protection of waterways everywhere, throughout the United States and the world. The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation at the Northwest Stream Center has embarked upon a three-year $4.5 million fundraising campaign. ($2.5 million - exhibits and displays, $1 million - Streamkeeper Academy Endowment, $1 million - Stream and Wetland Rehabilitation Endowment) By cultivating lasting partnerships with both the public and private sector, the Northwest Stream Center brings together a broad spectrum of support needed for the completion and general operation of the Visitors Building and its natural habitat exhibits, as well as for continued environmental education programming. Your contribution to the Northwest Stream Center Campaign will not only help the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation meet these goals, but more importantly, will provide supporters like you the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to your community. Gifts to the Northwest Stream Center and Adopt-A-Stream may be donated in the form of cash, securities, estate planning or other negotiable property, charitable annuities and pooled income. All donations are tax-deductible. The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation provides special recognition for significant donations towards major exhibits and programs. You can also become a “permanent” part in the Northwest Stream Center through the purchase of engraved bricks in the Streamwalk. Pledges are also welcome and can be paid in convenient installments.
