The National Park Service has compiled and maintains the
Nationwide Rivers Inventory (NRI), a register of over 3,000 river

recreational rivers. A great source of information for ecologists
seeking data on plant and animal species, for resource managers
needing a reference to help monitor activities on their rivers,
for states conducting river assessments and for recreationalists
seeking a listing of undisturbed river segments.

meet state water quality standards, as well as links to the
305(b) report, which shows whether water bodies support
beneficial uses, such as swimming or fishing and whether they are
